I'm not dead, just floating

Tue Jul 14, 2009, 11:41 AM
Yeah...so, I haven't been here in ages.

Long story, but to put it short: I've been in a phase - or do I say going through a phase? - recently and that, as a result, has led to me not being here. FOR FRAKKIN' AGES.

Add to that, that "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" (a.k.a my favourite show in a frickin' long time) got cancelled :( and some other personal crap thats way too long/frustrating to discuss, and you have me not being here for ages.

And, there you go, there's my semi-coherent, possibly not-good-enough explanation for not being active enough lately.

But I will be here - or try to - more often, from now on. And I will comment on stuff I've missed over the last 2-ish months.

I'll be back. Just...save me a seat. And don't eat all the popcorn :P

Tried to check out your Save Sarah deviation, but when I clicked on it, my virus scan thingy said it detected maleware (sp?) or something on the page, so I couldn't see it! DA has been getting infected with so many virus's and stuff! This is the 5 time it happened to me in one week.

Geez, that sucks. Have you tried using a different browser?

I didn't think it was possible for images to have virus' or malware (lol, maleware sounds like the men's section in a clothing store :P ) on them so there's definitely something up with your browser or anti-virus software.

Hey man it ain't me! haha People have been mentioning it on the DA forums. :P I had a feeling maleware wasn't the right term, lol.

Okay, I'm really late in replying to this, so any advice is quite moot really. So...does it work yet?

Remember how you said your ACER laptop always breaks and you have to send it off to the manufacturers? Well, my ACER laptop of 3 weeks just broke so I have to do the same thing. Couriers are coming to pick it up on Monday. =(

Didn't even get to back up my data.

Oh no, that really sucks. Actually, my one seems to have fixed itself. Their quickfix didn't originally work but I've had no problem with it for almost a month now. What exactly went wrong with yours? Its really bad that you didn't get to back up your data but seeing as you only had it for 3 weeks, maybe you didn't lose as much as you potentially could've if you had it for longer? Since both of us have had problems with Acer, I guess its not exactly a great brand. Btw, what happened to the other laptop you got? I don't remember you saying it was an Acer.

Just got it back. Thank god everything's still on it. I'm going up to PC World with my dad sometime soon so I'll get a small external hard drive to back up my stuff just in case. Anyway, yeah, this ACER laptop is my new one - my old one was a Packard Bell. It served me well but was 3-or-so years old and was falling apart. As for what was wrong with this one, it just wouldn't switch on. It randomly powered off when I was on it and wouldn't switch back on; neither from the battery or mains. The sheet I got back with it said they replaced the mainboard, but I don't actually know why it broke in the first place. =/

Oh well, all is well now. :D

Yeah, atleast everything's fine now.But that is weird that it wouldn't even switch on. External HDDs are really cheap these days too so its a good idea to get one and back stuff up.

Yeah, I still haven't got round to getting one. Got a 2GB Memory Stick at the moment though, so I backed up all my Flash work on that. :)
